Adventures can be many things. It can be a short or long trip, it can be out in the wilderness, a new place in your own city or even a fun activity, such as bungee-jumping or camping in the woods. Have you ever thought about going on an adventure? I am talking about the kind that is about taking a trip to a foreign country, exploring the tropical islands or taking a cruise trip around the globe. Well, it's never too late to do it. If you have the chance, why not take it? Believe me, you will not regret it. It will be an eye-opener to other things out there, not only in terms of different people, also different cultures, landscapes and different ways of life. All you need is money (of course, haha) and courage to step out of your comfort zone.
Sometimes wishing you'd be somewhere else than where you are at now is just a flight ticket away. When I think about places where I'd like to go and visit next, I think about two places: Las Vegas and Grand Canyon. Kind of a hard choice to make between the two, at least for me. Las Vegas comes to my mind because I have friends who either visited there not too long ago or who live very close to that area. I have only been to Las Vegas airport and would love to explore the area, not to gamble but just to check out the scenery and life there. The only reason I am drawn to Grand Canyon is because my kids talk about it a lot and they have been wanting to go there for a while now. In comparison to Las Vegas, going to Grand Canyon would be more of a family adventure.
I know many people who have lived in the same town all their lives. I personally wouldn't be able to do that because, to me, the world is such a big, beautiful place full of life and diversity, it's amazing and worth discovering. Luckily, I had many chances to travel in my life. Just think about the stories you could tell and the memories you could make. Booking a flight ticket is easy, just getting the money together for it is the hardest part. Planning a trip like that requires a lot of patience and preparation. You don't want to get stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere without money, especially not as a woman travelling by herself. Getting some tips from friends who have travelled more than you is definitely a great idea and the best thing about it is, asking a friend costs you nothing. Do you have plans to take a trip soon? If so, where will you be going and why? Please feel free to share, I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.
I love to see new places and have been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit. If I am home for a long time, I start to get wonder lust. Even a short road trip to Austin is fun because it gets you out of your normal life and allows you to see new sites. I want to go to Durango, Colorado this summer if I can save up for the trip.
